Bicentennial Man

My Opinion on what the movie presented is that I don’t believe that robots should be treated or even thought of as a human because why should an appliance get the same privileges as humans get when they were designed to be robots and basically follow human orders. This movie shows Andrew the robot evolve from not having human parts just being a regular robot to being basically a human having the digestive system, brain , and even having genitals. What I also don’t agree with is Andrew falling in love with an actual human because even though he is a robot in the end he had feelings and humans don’t live forever so he would probably be sad that Porsche died and he would be left alone and sad so I feel like that they shouldn’t be treated like slaves and they shouldn’t be thought of a human no matter what they get installed .

1.How Andrew would do in the turing test is terrible because in the beginning of the movie you can tell that the he wasn’t human at all .I could tell he wasn’t human because he would repeat something that was said and when sir said goodnight Andrew he would still stay and talk also I think that robots will never be as intelligent as a human .

2. A robot should just be considered an appliance not alive. The difference is humans have an digestive system and a brain and appliances don’t they are machines they’re made to be plugged in .

3. I think humans should be able to own a robot if they want to because if there willing to buy then why shouldn’t they be able to have it if they want it, especially if there like Andrew because that could be a good friend to have .

4. No a human should not be able to marry an intelligent robot because when the human ages in time the robot wont and then as the robot starts to get feelings for the human its going to get older and then die which will leave the robot sad and alone.

5. No because no matter if its true AI or false AI there is going to be something there to make them not be human all the way no matter what they get installed in there body to make them seem exactly like a human .

6. AI will not be a good thing at all for humans because if everybody starts to fall in love with robots then real humans will stop hooking up and if that happens then generations may stop for good .So this would be more like bicentennial man .
